The Dancing Nurse “happy pill”

Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go. Well, there is a new queen going viral on the Kenyan interwebs, one like none other before. It is not about how she dances or what she dances to but the impact she is making through her art.

Lukresia Robai a 22 year old nurse went viral for dancing. With the hopes of entertaining a toddler admitted at the Kitale Teaching and Referral Hospital. By yesterday afternoon, the video had garnered over 1 million views on her Tik Tok account.

“I have a project and I have named it Transformational Dance Ministry. I call it TDM hospital. I am passionate about dancing, it is inborn. It feels nice to be part of that society or culture that promotes wonderful things in this life. Especially when I’m giving medications, because hao ni watoto, I go to them with some kind of movement that is able to fascinate them,” she said while speaking on a local station.

Trans Nzoia County government has undertaken to pay the reminder of the school fees for the 22 year old orphan. “Further ensure she gets internship and finally be absorbed to serve as a paediatric nurse. Congratulations Elizabeth Robai your effort and dedication have paid off,” Governor George Natembeya.

The content creator has over 85, 000 followers on the video-sharing platform, Tiktok. The creator hopes to impact lives through dance. “It is beautiful to trend with beautiful things. It is beautiful to see social media trend with positive things,” she went on to add.
