World War II Veteran Writes Children Books

History never lies and when we look back at the years 1939 – 1945 a lot of records have been made with regards to the Second World War. The aftermath of the war to the participating nations has been witnessed but little to no light has ever been shared on the soldiers who fought.

35 years later one of the veteran soldiers, Sam Baker found his new passion as a children’s author. After purchasing his first computer, Baker’s son encouraged his dad to write the stories he used to narrate to them when they were kids for his granddaughter. This was the genesis of his writing at the age of 95 years old. Now Simon Baker has written three books and there are many more books yet to be written by the 99-year-old.
