The Daniel Generation: A Man of Purity

Daniel 6:3-4
Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.
Now that is what I call a testimony of purity. Many times when we think of purity in our Christian walk we only think about sexual purity but there is more to purity than that.
Everything that Daniel did was above board, all his dealings were done out in the light for all to scrutinize and see. His enemies tried to find fault with him but they could not come up with anything! He was faithful and there was no error or fault found in him.
The bible says “then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps…”
It was a deliberate move; he set godly standards for his life that were higher than what was expected. I am sure it took work and effort but the fruits are amazing.
Have you determined to distinguish yourself above the accepted norm, to be faithful in your dealings and interactions? To be faithful in your business transactions or how you execute your duties where you are employed?
If your overall goal is to please God then you will live a principled and pure life, you will know that God has set a higher standard for us and no matter what the world deems as acceptable or how many people are doing it, Gods word is still the standard.
Reflective Thoughts.
In what area of your life are you compromising your purity?
What steps are you willing to take to stay pure in that area?
Purity requires boundaries, what boundaries are you going to put in place to remain pure?
