President Kenyatta chairs first full Cabinet meeting in over a year

President Uhuru Kenyatta has chaired a full Cabinet Meeting today during which several matters of national and international importance were discussed.

This is the first time in over a year when the President has convened the meeting to deliberate on government business with the Deputy President William Ruto in attendance. The meeting comes after the President had called out his deputy to resign at the Labour day celebrations for what he termed as “absconding duty.”

The meeting that was held at State House, Nairobi, is equally the first meeting after four cabinet secretaries resigned in February 2022 to join politics and seek elective posts in the August poll.
