Kenya Elections 2022: Presidential Provisional Results

Preliminary results of presidential election being announced by the IEBC shows a tight race between the two main candidates Hon. Raila Odinga and Hon. William Ruto who are vying to replace the outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The front-runners, are neck and neck with Raila at 48.64% while Ruto at 49.93% of the votes counted so far with the winning candidate expected to get 50% plus one vote.

The election commission, has posted images of more than 90% of election result forms, from a total of 46,663 polling stations on their official website.

The country will wait for the Commission’s Chairman Wafula Chebukati to announce the final results within 7 days as prescribed by the law. However, all the constituency result forms have to be physically taken to the national tallying centre, Bomas of Kenya, and verified before the commission issues them as official results.
