EU Delegation in Kenya Stands with Ukraine

The EU Delegation in Kenya at a joint press briefing at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Kenya continues to call for an end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

During the briefing on Thursday, the EU Ambassador to Kenya Henriette Geiger said, ”The fact that you see us standing together is proof of the EU’s solidarity with Ukraine. All countries surrounding Ukraine are doing all they can to assist those attempting to leave.”

The EU Member States bordering Ukraine including Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania have granted unrestricted access to foreigners fleeing Ukraine.

The EU Delegation further stated that Ukraine provides food to approximately 400 million people, which is 5% of the world population and therefore, defending Ukraine is protecting the world from hunger and famine.
