NCCK to Governors: “Deliver on your promises you made to the people of your county.”

The National Council of Churches of Kenya has congratulated all the County Governors who were elected in the recently held polls.
In a message delivered by NCCK Chairpersons who attended and participated in the Swearing in Ceremonies of the new Governors. They urged the Governors to continue “employing commitment, focus, hard work, collaboration and determination” as they seek the best for the county residents.
Just and equitable service delivery should be the legacy each county head should aim to leave behind, the church leaders pointed out.

The National Council of Churches of Kenya General Secretary Rev Canon Chris Kinyanjui also called upon the Governors to “deliver on your promises and the manifesto that you made to the people of your county”.

He reminded them that counties were created in the country to facilitate devolution of basic service delivery and to bring government closer to the people.
The NCCK in these engagements has expressed commitment to collaborate with the county governments for the betterment of the society.
