The just–ended 2022 Kuza Awards which celebrate local content and excellence in broadcasting saw Family Media walk away with the most prestigious award under the Regulatory category. Family TV were the winners of the Compliance Award under the regulatory category.

The award recognizes that through our programing, and operations, we displayed compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements within the last one year.

Speaking during the event that was held at Safari Park Hotel Nairobi and graced by the Principle Secretary state department of broadcasting and telecommunications Ms. Esther Koimett, Ezra Chiloba, Director General, Communications Authourity of Kenya (CA) said,

“ This annual event seeks to recognize and reward excellence in the broadcasting industry. This year’s theme is “Rasising the Standard of Excellence in Broadcasting.”

The Communications Authority of Kenya introduced new category Ubora Award – Life time achievement that was awarded to Dr. Bitage Ndemo, and voting was done on the People’s Choice SMS voting platform that enabled the audience to vote for their preferred broadcaster.
