Ruto Sworn-In As the 5th President of Kenya

William Samoei Ruto has taken the oath of office as Kenya’s fifth Head of State.
The Oath of Allegiance was administered by the Chief registrar of Judiciary Anne Amadi, followed by the Oath of Execution of the Office of the President to Dr. Ruto.

Ms. Amadi administered the oaths in the presence of Chief Justice Martha Koome and Attorney General Paul Kihara Kariuki.

In the presence of AG Kihara, Dr. Ruto then proceeded to sign the certificates of the oaths of office.

The new Head of State also received the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart award, highest accolade in the country.

He pledged to “protect and uphold, the sovereignty, integrity and dignity of the people of Kenya”.
