Maintain Peace: Ruto and Raila Tell Kenyans

The anxiousness of the country is at its climax with the 6th day of verification giving hope of a possible announcement of who the 5th President will be. Upon witnessing some interesting outplays at the BOMAS of Kenya, the IEBC national tallying center, the two leading presidential hopefuls applauded Kenyans for maintaining peace at different forums.

“I ask all of us the people of Kenya to be patient with the processes that are going on at the moment. To also pray for the IEBC so that they can complete this exercise in the manner in which we have voted. We have had a peaceful election moment, we voted peaceful and it is my prayer we end this process peaceful.” DP William Ruto, speaking at Sunday service yesterday in his residence in Karen.

Hon. Raila Odinga also shared his remarks on peace on Sunday, “We want to thank the Lord, the campaigns have been peaceful. The elections have also been peaceful so far and we hope that this peace will prevail even after the elections. There is a message I want to share and I will quote St. Francis basilica and it says; Lord make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me show love, where there is doubt faith, where there is despair hope, where there is darkness light and where there is sadness joy.”
