‘Kindly bring many more people to Israel because it’s an encounter with Jesus’

A video of pilgrims singing ‘Nijaze tena, ninaomba baba, unijaze tena’ at St. Anne’s Church in Jerusalem is one that highlights the spiritual experience that the Family Media Israel trip is all about. That and baptism in the River Jordan, a sermon, prayers, sharing communion at the Garden tomb, and many other personal experiences

“This is a dream come true for the pilgrims,” says Rev. Wanjohi, who is leading the team. “The Lord has greatly impacted them.”

The team of 27 pilgrims left Kenya on May 31st for Israel via Egypt, where they visited the pyramids, a perfumery, and Mt. Sinai. 12 people made it to the top of Mt. Sinai the next day at 5 a.m. Some of the sites they have visited in Israel are Bethlehem, the Western Wall, Mt. Olives, St. Anne’s Church, the Pool of Bethesda, the River Jordan, the Garden Tomb, Galiganto, Galilee, Mt. Carmel, Haifa, Karna of Galilee, and Nazareth, among others.

Rev. George Wanjohi describes the trip as a great experience that’s meeting people’s desires.

Evangelist Lucy Wa Ngunjiri, of Overseer Prayers Beyond Boundaries Ministries, is one of the pilgrims in Israel. She reports that it’s such a surreal experience being in the places mentioned in the Bible, where God made a way for the Israelites, where God blessed his people, and where God spoke to Moses.

She reads and teaches the Bible, but now she’s walking the Bible.

“Thank you, Family Media. Kindly bring many, bring one, bring all, and let them have this great experience because it’s an encounter with the Savior. God bless you all. God bless Family Media. God bless Kenya,” she says.

For Rita, being in Israel is an achievement of one of her life’s goals.

“I want to thank Family Media so much for enabling me to see this holy land,” she says. “Many people want to come to Israel but don’t know how to do it. Continue advertising and let people know so that they can come and experience Israel.”

Cathy is an ardent listener of Family Radio 316 and Family TV viewer who also achieved her dream of visiting the holy land. “I have been wanting to visit the holy land, and through Family Media, I have been able to do that. I thank God for the work Family Media is doing to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

For her, the pilgrimage is another way of preaching the good news to the world since people get to experience Christ in Israel, their faith is strengthened, and they in turn share that good news with others.

Lydia has been a follower of Family Media since its inception in 1999.

Speaking from a boat on the Sea of Galilee, she says, “Family Media has made her dream come true. I am so glad and happy that I am in Israel today. Thank you so much.”
