For God so loved the world THAT HE GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God’s love is not just unconditional, it is also sacrificial because it gives, and it gives its very best. Think about this, God’s unconditional love is so great that it drove him to give sacrificially. Where there is love there will always be giving and sacrificial giving at that. Love is not about what I can get from you, but rather what I can give you. No wonder the Bible says that it is more blessed to give than receive because giving is driven by love.
God gave, and he keeps on giving not because we deserve or qualify to be given, but rather because he is love and love in its truest and purest form gives sacrificially.
This explains by giving is such a big issue for us who are born again and why the enemy fights us in this area. The God we serve, the God whose nature we carry is Love and love gives sacrificially, so should we.
