Detectives from the DCI headquarters have taken over investigations into the death of the nominated MP David Sankok’s son. The contingent of detectives reconstructed the scene at Sankok’s house in Narok County and they also interrogated those present during the death of the 15-year-old reported to have shot himself using his father’s shotgun.
In the reconstruction, the detectives questioned the MP on how he handled the keys to his firearm safe, and how his 15-year-old son was able to access it.
The inconsistencies in witness statements that were already recorded by detectives in Narok led to the takeover of the probe by homicide detectives drawn from the DCI national forensic lab who are expected to be present during a repeat autopsy to be conducted today, Friday headed by the Chief government pathologist Dr.Johansen Oduor in the presence of the family.
The autopsy will be seeking to probe the entry and exit points of the bullet that killed Memusi.
