Dream Killers: Laziness

Proverbs 24:30-33 (NIV)
I went past the field of the sluggard, past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins.
What does the field of your dreams look like? Are there thorns that are growing all over choking the dream because you are too lazy to pluck them out?
Is the ground covered with weeds that are sucking the very life out of your dream because you are too lazy to do some weeding?
What about the protective wall that is supposed to protect your dream from the enemy who comes to kill steal and destroy? Is it standing strong or does it lie in ruins?
As long as you remain lazy then your dream will always be wishful thinking and all you will do is talk about what others have been able to achieve while your dream lies in ruins.
Think about the dreamer Joseph. He was not a lazy individual. He was a hard worker and for every task, he was assigned to he did well and the blessing of the Lord was all over him whether in Potiphar’s house, prison, or the palace.
Proverbs 26:13
The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
Are you always giving excuses every time the issue of your dream comes up? Excuses are a trademark of lazy individuals. They always place the blame on someone else or situations as the reason why they have not done what they were supposed to.
Do you have a dream? For it to come true, you have to wake up fold your sleeves, and get to work. How else can God bless the works of your hands unless you do the work?
Reflective Thoughts.
What is your attitude towards hard work, do you see it as a blessing or a curse?
What are the common excuses you have been giving when it comes to your dreams?
What are you going to do about it?
