“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” Galatians 2:20-21
Life can be overwhelming, and in turn we may give up the things that look like they can be done later, in specific, the will of God.
Here’s the thing, because we have free will, when God asks us to do something for him, our first reaction is mostly hesitation, because most of the time, God always asks you to do something beyond you. But, does it mean that we give up on the things he tells us to do, just because we feel overwhelmed by the idea?
The purpose of listening to God is not so that our own wishes are fulfilled but that God’s name be glorified.
Galatians speaks of who we are in Christ, and Paul ends with him not wanting to set aside God’s grace. In some versions it says ‘not frustrating grace’.
The grace of God is sufficient, and so are his resources. Serve him with grace.
‘LORD may our lives reflect your grace. May we seek your face to love the purposes of your kingdom more than this world we are in.We belong to you Jesus, and so does our time. May all the things we hope for exalt your holy name.
In Jesus name,
Amen..’
