The Power of a Vision: What is a Vision?

Habakkuk 2:2 AMP
Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run.
Just because one has sight does not mean that they have vision. In fact the thing that’s worse than being blind is to have sight and no vision.
A Vision in simple terms is a picture of the future. It is a picture of the end before you get to it. It is like the architect who draws up the design of a building and builds a model of it before the building is ever constructed. The vision of the architect guides the contractor on how to build.
The same applies to you and I. Without acquiring the vision of our architect, we will build our own things.
Proverbs 29:18 NKJV
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.
God always gives us a picture of the future, a vision from which we can tailor our lives. Even his word contains the book of revelation that tells us how it all ends and what we are to do about it.
God has a vision for each person he created because he created each one of us with a purpose. When we connect with him then we can connect with our God given purpose and when we align with that purpose then out lives become fulfilling and full of impact and meaning.
Reflections.
Do you have a blueprint from which you are building your life or are you just building as you go?
If you said the Bible is your blueprint, are you following it to the letter or skipping some sections?
Why do you think God created you, what does he want you to do?
