Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, was accompanied by 12 Kenyan youthful MP’s to attend the 2022 YouthConnekt African Summit in Kigali, Rwanda. The Summit aims to harness economic opportunities for the youth and to empower them to contribute to Africa’s socio-economic growth and sustainable development. The summit was attended by more than 9000 youth across Africa.
“Without the youth, Africa isn’t going to discover any new significant opportunities or resources for transformative growth. You have the energy and passion but most importantly the brains to take Africa to the next level,” DP Rigathi stated.
The youth were also encouraged to be courageous enough to take their rightful positions in leadership by vying for political seats. As this will help drive the social economic development agenda for the continent of Africa. “Don’t believe the story that you’re the leaders of tomorrow. Be the leaders of today,” the DP went on to state.
