Hebrews 11:6 AMP
But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
As a believer, you and I desire to please God and to hear him say on that day, ” Welcome home thou good and faithful servant.”
That can never happen if we don’t have faith. Faith is to believe and act on what God says. Abraham believed God and acted and it was credited to him as righteousness. In the same manner we believe in God’s finished work through Christ and it is credited to us as salvation.
Faith is important because without it, we cannot please God. It takes faith to believe that God exists and that the bible is his word. If we don’t have faith in him and his word how the can we please him? Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Without faith we cannot embrace and experience salvation for we are saved by grace through faith in Christ.
If we are to receive anything from God it must be through faith. We first have to believe that he exists and that he is able to deliver what he promised no matter how long it takes or how grave the circumstances may be.
It takes faith to believe that Jesus is coming back for us and that we will spend eternity with him where there will be no more pain and sorrow but joy forever more.
All in all it takes faith to be a Christian.
