The Power of A Vision: Vision and Devotion

Joshua 1:8 NKJV
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Imagine the pressure of taking over from a leader like Moses. This was a man that had walked in the demonstration of the power of God like no one before in his generation or the generations past. Imagine what Joshua must have felt.
I love Joshua 1:8, God himself reassures Joshua and gives him what I call the formula to success. God tells him to stay devoted in the word meditate on it and do as it says and that will guarantee his success.
The vision is not more important than the word. In fact it is devotion to the word that will enable you and I to fulfill the word. When the times seem hard and the vision seems impossible or the enemies seem too huge, it is the word that reminds us what God has declared, it is the word that reignites our faith for faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of the Lord.
Do not allow your pursuit for the vision and your desire to see it become a reality cause you to neglect the word. Without the word Gods vision over your life will not become a reality.
Find strength and the power to keep pursuing your God given vision in his word.
Reflections.
Do you have a scripture that reminds you of your God given vision? Write it down.
How important is the word of God to you and how often do you read it?
What must you do to be more devoted to the word and the vision?
