The Bridge presentation is a simple, yet effective tool for evangelism developed by the Navigators. It simply points out man’s problem, God’s solution and how we should respond to it.

God loves us, and he created each one of us with a purpose. He desires that we be in a relationship with Him so that we can enjoy life and all the good things that pertain to it.

This is wonderful news, but there is a problem, sin is humanity’s problem.

Because of sin in our lives, we have been separated from God. The bible tells us that the wages of sin is death meaning that as long as we have sin in our lives, then death is inevitable, and we cannot get to enjoy life as God designed it.

Man oh his own cannot solve the problem of sin in his life, does that then mean that man is doomed forever? No, and that is where the good news comes in because God has a solution. John 3:16 articulates that solution for us.

God sent Jesus his son to die for us, to take our place, to pay the penalty for our sins.

What then should our response be to God’s solution? Simply by believing in Jesus and the sacrifice he made for us and confessing him as Lord of our lives. It is the ABC of salvation.

Accept that you are a sinner who cannot save themselves; thus you need a saviour

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for you on the cross.

Confess him as Lord and Commit to following him by becoming his disciple, trusting him completely.
