The Rift Valley region has been a hot zone for potential violence during each electioneering period. To curb this, the National Security Council has approved additional resources and security services. All of which will bolster the deployment of personnel and equipment including aerial assets in Molo, Kuresoi, Eldoret, and other areas in the country mapped out as vulnerable to disturbance. The move is set to ensure peace prevails in the area. So far eight suspects have been arrested for spreading violence and inciting leaflets.
