Controversy and disbelief hit the Christian community when a renowned pastor Brian Houston was mixed up “harassment/ indiscretions” allegations. This was after an employee raised the alarm after receiving “inappropriate” texts from Pst. Houston. Another woman made claims of the pastor entering her room without consent during a conference.

The founder of the mega Pentecostal Church, Hillsong church immediately stepped down as the senior pastor immediately in January. The Hillsong Global Board stated the complaints were treated “extremely seriously.” The board revealed the pastor was under sleeping medications when the two incidents occurred. Pst. Huston then released an apology to the two women as he seek medical attention.

New updates have been shared after an emergency staff meeting  this Wednesday; “We would like to advise you that Pastor Brian Houston has resigned as global senior pastor of Hillsong Church and the board has accepted his resignation, We understand there will be much emotion at this news and we all share these feelings. We ask that you continue to pray for them and the entire Houston family during this challenging time,” Mr Dooley said in a statement.
