God Our Father: The Father’s Nature

Psalms 95:3-5 NKJV‬
[3] For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods. [4] In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also. [5] The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land.
When we were young, boys, we took pride in our fathers, and we would compare to see whose father was greater. My father can beat your father because he is stronger, my father is richer because he drives a better car than your father. My father is wiser because of the job he does, my father this, my father that. These were the discussions that we would have.
Now imagine if your father was the strongest and there was nothing impossible with him. Imagine if your father had all the wisdom, and he knew everything, all that could be known. Imagine if he was everywhere at the same time. None of the other boys would dare say that their father was greater.
That is the nature of our God, and he is our Father in heaven. First and foremost, he is holy, meaning that no evil or mistake or error can be found in him. His ways are perfect, and he is always right.
Because he is omnipresent, he is everywhere at the same time. He created time, meaning he is not confined within time. He is in Genesis creating while at the same time he is in revelation, and he is still there before Genesis and after Revelation.
Our father is all powerful, all mighty, there is none stringer than him. Nothing is impossible with him. He is so mighty that everything that exists was created by him. He can move mountains and part the seas. Furthermore, he can defeat any army that man or the devil can put together. He is a mighty father.
He is also all knowing. There is nothing to be known that he does not know. There is no wisdom that exists that he does not know. There is nothing that has happened or happening or will happen that he does not already know. He is a Father who is all knowing.
This God, our Father, loves us, and he has good plans for you and me, the best that can be offered. So why would we be troubled about anything?
So next time the enemy comes along your way to discourage you, simply ask him; “Do you know who my father is?”
Reflections.
What is one thing you admire about your earthly father or someone you consider a father figure.
Your Father in heaven is all mighty. What situation in your life needs an all mighty father? Call on him.
Your Father is all knowing. In what area of your life do you need wisdom? Ask him.
