Practical Love: Love, The Kingdom Law

1 Cor 13:13
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
A Pharisee who sought to trap Jesus asked Him which is the greatest law?
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
This tells us that the kingdom of God is build on the law called LOVE. Love God and love people.
It is so hard to hide love because it is the nature of love to find an expression. Love cannot be hidden because it must be given to be of any value.
God is love and everything he does springs from love. The main difference between Christianity and other religions is LOVE. God himself is not above the law of love that governs his kingdom. To say that you are part of Gods kingdom but yet you do not abide by the law of Love is to be deceived.
John 13:34
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Jesus told his disciples that what will distinguish them from others and identify them as his disciples is love for one another. In fact so that we don’t get it wrong and everyone comes up with their own definitions, of what Love is, Jesus commanded us to love one another as he has loved us. The standard of the quality of love we should have for one another is the sacrificial love that Jesus has for us.
God is love and his kingdom is built on Love all without fail who belong to his kingdom have got love for him and love for one another. This love is not based on what the other person does or does not do, it is unconditional love which is the God kind of love that he places in us when we make him Lord over our lives.
Do you want to know who belongs to Gods kingdom? look for the sign of love.
