A mindset can be described as an attitude and set way of thinking. It is said that he who believes he can and he who believes that he cannot both are correct. How we think determines what we believe and what we believe determines our perception of life and the kind of life we live.

One of the things we are encouraged as believers is not to be conformed to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. No transformation can occur without the mind being renewed and no transformation of the mind can happen unless new information is plugged in. That is why faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

God brought out the children of Israel from Egypt with a purpose, his promise was that he was taking them to a land flowing with milk and honey. When they got there and it was time for them to enter, their greatest enemy was not the devil or the giants in the land but their mindset. As they said, they were like grasshoppers in their own sight, they did not believe they could take the land despite all the miracles they had seen God perform in their midst.

They disqualified themselves from entering the land promised to them because their minds had not been renewed, they were still enslaved in their minds.

How many of us are living a life below that which God has already made available for us simply because of our mindsets? We have not taken the time to read the word to allow our minds to be renewed so that we can know that good and acceptable will of God for our lives which leads to us complaining just like the children of Israel.

The greatest battlefield is our minds and remember there can be no transformation unless it first happens in the mind.
