Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) has officially approved a decision to join Azimio la Umoja Coalition.
The Party’s National Executive Committee also endorsed the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as the party’s presidential flagbearer in the upcoming general elections.
Today, while addressing the ODM National Governing Council at BOMAS, Nairobi, Odinga thanked the council for the support they have given him and promised to continue with his partnership and cordial working relations with the President post-election.
ODM Party leader, further said, if elected, his government will launch a Social Protection Fund to caution the poor.
The NGC has adopted amendments to the party nomination rules to provide four methods of nominating party candidates and decide who gets the party’s ticket in the primaries slated for March-April.
The NDC will culminate with the Party Delegates Conference on Saturday 26th February 2022, at The Kasarani National Stadium.
Similarly, President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the Jubilee Party NDC at the KICC on 26th February 2022, to formally endorse ODM Leader ‘s presidential bid.
The two have planned to attend a joint rally on Sunday to unveil the structure of Azimio.
