Attitudes For Victorious Living: Elected Holy and Beloved

Colossians 3:12‭-‬13 NKJV
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
Our attitude is like the spectacles through which we see ourselves, others and the world around us. Our attitude is so important because it creates our reality, even if though that reality may not be the truth. Everyone wears an attitude, and we all have a choice which attitude we wear.
Imagine being elected by God because he loves you and he wants you. Through faith in Christ, we are holy and the beloved of the Lord. What kind of attitude then should we have because of this knowledge?
Many people go through life believing they are rejected and unwanted. They consider themselves of little or no worth and because they see themselves through those glasses, then everything around them seems to agree with the attitude they have put on.
Paul reminds the Colossian church that God Almighty the Holy one has elected them and that they are holy and beloved. That knowledge should then cause them to carry themselves with certain kind of attitudes mentioned in our key verse, and we look at them individually this week.
You are elected by God you are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus and you are the beloved of God, he has loved you with an everlasting love and nothing can separate you from his love through Christ. Let this form the foundation upon which you see yourself, others and the situations around you.
Reflections.
Have you ever been part of a pool of people and not chosen? How did that make you feel?
What does being chosen by God mean to you?
What attitude should you have then, knowing that you are chosen holy and beloved?
